Quality, craftsmanship and service since 1990.
The Home Doctors repairs and remodels homes across Marin and San Francisco, from a window repair to a whole-home remodel. We put the emphasis on quality, craftsmanship and service, and we hold our work to a high standard.
Great problem solvers
We have the experience to take on a wide range of projects, large or small. We're also good problem solvers and troubleshooters, and we can usually find a solution to whatever is troubling your home.
We take pride in the finished product, and just as much in how we work. We keep our work areas clean and organized, and we treat our clients and their homes with honesty and respect.
Our history
The Home Doctors has been repairing and remodeling homes in Marin and San Francisco since 1990. For many years it was run by two brothers, Craig and Tap Dawson. Both came from a family of builders and had spent decades in the remodeling trades, and together with their crew they built a large client base across Marin and San Francisco. Many of the thank-you letters on our reviews page are addressed to them.
Owned by Gerald McLean
Today The Home Doctors is owned by Gerald McLean, who holds the company's California contractor license. The name and the standards are the same ones Marin homeowners have known since 1990.
Most of the people on your job work for The Home Doctors directly. For specialty trades we bring in a close group of subcontractors we work with regularly.
What we stand on
Reliability, honesty, quality and value. Those four words have been the company's foundation from the start, and they're still how we'd like to be judged.
